Introduction to 52 Ancestors for 2024
This "52 Ancestors" project is also my very first blogging attempt, so I have a big learning curve here. But I really wanted to push my technology skills a little, and this seemed like a good project to start with. One of the genealogists I subscribe to (Amy Johnson Crow) has an annual project she offers up to her viewers to participate in. It is called "52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks." She provides a different theme for each week, but the rest is up to us. We can then select an ancestor that we feel has a story to tell about that particular topic. This is a somewhat different way to share information and stories about our ancestors without getting bogged down in the dry facts and dates of their existence on earth.
